What an epic start to 2026!!!! 🔥❤️ Linda + John had a dream of getting their portraits taken on the CTA in downtown Chicago and it was everything fun, funky, and unique they wanted! ✨ What a blast!!!! Capturing the excitement as we ran to catch the train and all around the train station was pure magic. Collaborating with these two was a dream – their energy was truly infectious. 10/10 would recommend photos on the train again!!!

What a perfect wedding to close out the 2025 year!!! ✨ Kyle and Cali promised their forever to each other on the top of a mountain in the middle of Idaho. What. An. Absolutely. Beautiful. Day. These two are some of the sweetest, most thoughtful, intentional, and adventurous people you will ever meet. Their wedding day was full of so many significant moments that just spoke of their love and adoration for each other and their amazing family and friends.

As a photographer I’m drawn to things that are pretty and ascetic. I want to capture each of those moments and recreate a small part to cherish for ever. And not all of life fits nicely into a theoretical “ascetic” box. As a wife, mamma, homemaker and small business owner a lot of my life is not pretty. It’s messy and hard.

And if I had to guess, yours is too. There’s parts of our lives that don’t feel pretty or go how we want. And yet in the midst of those moments; the ones that we want to capture and hold forever, and the ones that we wish we could hide from, we have a choice to embrace it all. To learn and grow in complexity of how we see ourselves and others.

Each moment of our life may not all be pretty, but they have the chance to be beautiful. To be meaningful. To create meaning and beauty in us.

Summer book club anyone?! ☀️📖 💚 I made it a goal to keep track of all the books I’m reading this year. I’ve made the goal to continually have two books going at the same time one as fiction and then an inspiration/learning book. So far doing pretty good…. My favorite book so far has been “An American Beauty” by Shana Abe. Y’all it was sooooo good and I finished that thick book in under a week. 😅

These two love birds with their books just gets me every time!!! 📕❤️ What a fun way to incorporate your personality as a couple into your engagement photos!

It’s been over a year since we moved here to Knox and honestly it’s been one of the sweetest years of our life. As a small business owner it’s easy to want to constantly be showing the highlight reel of my business and continue to push it forward to growth. And that’s not always all that life is. This year I haven’t doubled my numbers or exploded with growth. And thats ok. There have been many many, moments that make this year so special to my heart that are outside of anything work or money can ever give. Don’t hear me wrong I LOVE getting to be a photographer and I am continuing to grow and develop my business here in Tennessee to offer all of you the beauty of capturing moments forever. And for me in this season there are a lot of moments off screen that I am holding close to my heart.

As we head into summer we made a family bucket list. And you know what? It’s made of the simplest things. Taking a hike in the smokes. Going on a picnic. Getting to see a concert. Hosting friends out on our back porch.

So, what is it this summer that you want to prioritize? That you want to put your phone, your computer, your work down and be present in and for? Who do you want to show up for?

From my little to family to yours go make the memories this summer that don’t end up on your highlight reel. Or bring in money or growth. Do the ones that bring joy.
