These two are some of the sweetest, most thoughtful, intentional, and adventurous people you will ever meet. As a photographer I’m drawn to things that are pretty and ascetic. I want to capture each of those moments and recreate a small part to cherish for ever. And not all of life fits nicely into a theoretical “ascetic” box. As a wife, mamma, homemaker and small business owner a lot of my life is not pretty. It’s messy and hard.

And if I had to guess, yours is too. There’s parts of our lives that don’t feel pretty or go how we want. And yet in the midst of those moments; the ones that we want to capture and hold forever, and the ones that we wish we could hide from, we have a choice to embrace it all. To learn and grow in complexity of how we see ourselves and others.

Each moment of our life may not all be pretty, but they have the chance to be beautiful. To be meaningful. To create meaning and beauty in us.

Summer book club anyone?! ☀️📖 💚 I made it a goal to keep track of all the books I’m reading this year. I’ve made the goal to continually have two books going at the same time one as fiction and then an inspiration/learning book. So far doing pretty good…. My favorite book so far has been “An American Beauty” by Shana Abe. Y’all it was sooooo good and I finished that thick book in under a week. 😅

Summer book club anyone?! ☀️📖 💚 I made it a goal to keep track of all the books I’m reading this year. I’ve made the goal to continually have two books going at the same time one as fiction and then an inspiration/learning book. So far doing pretty good…. My favorite book so far has been “An American Beauty” by Shana Abe. Y’all it was sooooo good and I finished that thick book in under a week. 😅
